Before starting Crossfit, I thought of myself as athletic. I had the same routine in the gym, week after week. I kept myself at the level I thought I could not surpass. I recently enlisted in the Army as a special forces candidate, and was looking for a way to prepare myself for the rigorous training I will face. I was refereed to Crossfit, and since starting I found myself getting stronger and faster, my endurance has gone through the roof and I have gone past a point I thought I couldn’t. The nature of Crossfit has kept me competing with myself to continue pushing further and further. My fitness goals are now not to maintain a level of ability, but to continually push myself past what I thought I could not achieve, a quality that will lead to success during my Army career. I feel like I am in the best shape I have ever been in and it just keeps getting better. Confidence comes from preparation, and Crossfit has definitely given me the confidence, not only physically but mentally to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.Colby C.
